Family Home with 2 young children in Ingrave, Essex

My clients came to me when they had just moved in to this 4 bed detached home in Brentwood, heavily pregnant and needing help to inject some life and love into the property! With a young child and another on the way, the family needed open plan living, therefore I proposed opening up the lounge through to the kitchen, to create a kitchen diner, whilst converting the garage into a snug for the family. My client wanted an industrial and classic look throughout, therefore I carried a neutral base throughout, incorporating key features to add interest and warmth. Injections of colour were brought in through feature pieces, textured walls, accessories and colour blocking.  I wanted the home to flow for the family, creating light, space and calming warmth.

Large country home in Chelmsford

This was a 1930s home that had been empty for 18months. Needing complete renovation, my clients wanted to create function family living, with neutral, warm tones. Projecting managing the work from start through to styling, I was able to ensure my clients’ renovation was carried out on time and in budget, handling all tradesman, building control and any issues along the way. My clients are very busy, both working fulltime, so this removed the pressure of renovating. The space is truly stunning –  interesting, warm and calm with quality timeless features and design considerations for a busy family of four.

Unused office/dining space in Chelmsford

My client approached me regarding a ‘dead’ space that wasn’t being used. Previously used by as a dining room and occasional office, my client wanted to create an entertaining space that would also being the garden in. Providing my client with an expert carpenter, a handmade bespoke bar area was created, with a neutral warm grey colour scheme.

Family Home in Ingrave Essex

My clients, who are a young family, envisioned their home as a tranquil and calm space with interesting features but definitely wanted a neutral and timeless feel. Using various shades of grey and neutrals, complemented by a mix of textures, timeless and inviting atmosphere was achieved that was also functional for the young family. Respecting the original features whilst adding in modern twists, the property flows from room to room, offering interest without screaming about it.
